Things to do in Germany in 5 Days
Here’s a list of essential places to visit during a five-day trip to Germany:
Days 1 and 2: Things to do in Berlin
For the first two days of your journey through Germany, I recommend exploring the beautiful city of Berlin, a place steeped in history as it has been the capital of various eras: the Kingdom of Prussia, the German Reich, the Weimar Republic, the Third Reich, and now the capital of modern Germany.
Berlin is today a cosmopolitan city, a cultural hub, and a vibrant metropolis compared to other European cities. It’s the perfect starting point for your trip to Germany, a country that I personally love.
Day 3: Things to do in Dresden
On the third day of your trip through Germany, I recommend visiting the city of Dresden. This city is one of my favorites in all of Germany due to its stunning architecture. Dresden is often called the “Florence on the Elbe” because of its beauty and is strategically located, making it a popular stop for tourists traveling between Berlin (Germany) and Prague (Czech Republic).
It’s worth noting that Dresden was heavily destroyed during World War II, and much of what we see today are reconstructions. However, the city’s charm remains intact, attracting thousands of visitors every year.
Note: Dresden is one of the places you absolutely must visit during your five-day trip to Germany.
Day 4: Things to do in Nuremberg
On the fourth day of your trip, I recommend exploring the city of Nuremberg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Located in the Bavarian region, Nuremberg lies along the banks of the Pegnitz River and was declared an Imperial City during the Holy Roman Empire.
Day 5: Things to do in Munich
For the final day of your five-day trip through Germany, I recommend visiting the city of Munich, one of the most beloved destinations for tourists due to its tradition, history, and culture. Munich is especially popular for hosting Oktoberfest, the iconic beer festival held annually in Germany.
Note: Munich is one of the must-see destinations for any five-day trip to the Federal Republic of Germany.
